They meet and exceed all mil-spec requirements. They are available in matte black plum OD green and desert sand colors. The NATO (long) length buttstock (1.25 inch length)  includes a trapdoor for a compartment for an AK-pattern cleaning kit high-strength hardened steel ribbed butt plate as well as a steel anti-bind sling swivel.
